The Members of the band are: Lorenzo Vignando aka Ukulollo, Matteo Cammisa and Sara Bertolucci. They collaborate since 2012. In 2015 they form “Ceci N’est Pas Ukulollo” (the name is inspired by Magritte’s painting) to create a show that incorporates music, video and acting. All the material is original and the ideal place to play their show is the movie theatre. Some videos are projected on the big screen, some other on a magical round screen on stage. The band play and sing live synchronized to the projections.
The songs follow the path of Ukulollo previous works and they are enriched by the percussions of Matteo Cammisa, who creates original rythmic textures and marimba improvvisations, and by the vocal wormth of Sara Bertolucci. Girolamo Deraco oversees the arrangments and the consistency of the project; the prestigious guests – Paul Moore, Luca Silvestri, Enrico Farnedi, Bruno Renato Paschoal, Caterina Mancini – enrich tones and frequencies. Tales From The South Seas has been mixed by Luca Contini and tested in some Italian Cinemas and in a Australia and New Zealand tour before it was pubblished.
Tales From The South Seas has been recorded with the support of “Progetto 100 Band all’interno di Giovanisì – Regione Toscana.”
